My Color Place is a coloring and game site where kids learn through play. They color, they play short games, and they make their own coloring pages just by saying or typing what they want. Along the way they pick up the habits that matter in a world full of AI.
What your child learns
Your child sees a fun game. Underneath, they are practicing three skills that will help them for years.
Ask clearly
In Create a Page, kids say or type an idea like "a dragon eating ice cream" and a coloring page appears. They learn that clear words get better results. That's the same skill grown-ups use with AI tools.
Try again, a new way
When a picture doesn't come out how they imagined, kids change their words and try again. Rewording an idea is a quiet lesson in problem solving.
Keep going when it's hard
Some games take practice, and medals and trophies reward sticking with it. Kids learn that the hard part is where they get better.
How it works
- ColorKids color pages from our coloring books right in the browser, with mixing colors and brushes in the Art Studio.
- PlayShort games built from the coloring pages: fishing with the flamingo, finding hidden creatures with Ray, racing gnomes, and more.
- CreateKids describe a picture with their voice or keyboard, then color it and print it. They can even turn it into their own game: Club members get one free game each month, and anyone can buy one for $5.
Our kids are growing up with AI. We want them to start early, with good habits: ask clearly, try again, and keep going.
Made to be safe
- No accounts and no ads. We never ask for your child's name, email, photo or location, and there are no trackers.
- Built so we do not collect personal information from children under 13 (the U.S. children's privacy rule, COPPA).
- When your child asks for a new picture, only the picture words go to our picture helper and its picture AI (Cloudflare or OpenRouter). Anything that looks like a name, number or email is taken out first. Free pictures are kept with their words (never anything about your child) so the next child who asks gets them fast.
- Pictures, medals, trophies and your Club or game code are saved in your browser on this device. We never ask or store a child's age. Age labels on games and books are recommendations only. Codes are also checked with our store when used. On a new phone or computer, paste your code once.
- Built for kids, with friendly words and simple buttons.
- Calm play sessions with a time-left bar, so play has a natural stopping point.
- Voice typing uses your browser's or phone's built-in speech service. In Chrome the voice goes to Google, and on an iPhone or iPad it may go to Apple, to be turned into words. We never get the sound. Read the full privacy page.
- On the Nature Window, the calm cams (space, manatees, Northern Lights) are open to all. Wild animal cams, where animals may hunt, stay off until you turn them on in Parent settings below.
Parent settings
You decide what kids can use here. Every switch asks a grown-ups question first and is saved only on this device. Nothing is sent to us, and you don't need an account.
Everything is on unless you turn it off. Turn off just one thing, like the live cams, or tap Turn all off (free mode) to switch off everything that costs money or leaves the site: live cams, AI pictures, game making, the Club and buying books. Kids keep the free coloring pages, this month's free books, all of our games, Create a Story, Art Studio and our free picture library.
- Parents and families: turn off only what you don't want on your child's tablet or computer, or use free mode. You can change it any time.
- Teachers: turn on free mode on each classroom device, so the whole class uses only the free side. Print any page from this month's free books under Free printables. There's nothing to sign up for.
- Librarians: turn on free mode on library computers, so every child gets the same free set with nothing to buy and no outside videos.
What you can check: a small "🌱 Free mode" note shows at the bottom of the screen when everything is off. Buy buttons, prices, Club buttons and live cams are gone, and Create a Page uses only our own pictures. Settings stay in this browser; clearing the browser turns everything back on.
Setting up a room of computers? Open mycolorplace.com/?freemode=on once on each one. That link can only turn things off, never on.
We never ask for a child's name or age, and free pages and free books never ask for an email or a sign-up.
The wild animal cams on the Nature Window stay off until a grown-up turns them on. Your choices are saved only in this browser, on this device. On another phone or computer, set them again there.
Free to try
Every game is free, with no login and no ads. This month's free books are free to color, every page, and every other book has a free page to try. The Club, which colors every page and makes games, is for families at home, not for a school to buy.
